Quilt Art welcomes applications for membership. The group is looking for evidence of an original independent artistic voice and excellent workmanship. A commitment to the group and a willingness to participate in running it is essential. We expect members to take part in the running of the group.
We have 4 meetings a year – usually two in the UK and two elsewhere where members live. Two of the meetings are weekend meetings where we have time to look at work and also to socialise. The one-day meetings are usually filled up with business talk about practical things involved in running a touring exhibition group. Group members are expected to come to at least two meetings a year, but at the moment we are planning to make one or two meetings a year to Zoom meetings.
You are welcome to check out our venue page and come and talk to us at the openings.

The application process is in two stages.
1. At least images of 7-8 pieces of work made within the last three years showing the whole quilt including edges and close up shots are to be sent by email or uploaded to Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar, along with an artist’s statement and CV. Please add titles, dates, a brief outline of techniques and captions to help the group when they are viewed and discussed.
2. Applicants who are successful at this stage will be invited to attend an interview and bring examples of their work. This will be at the home of one of the members. A final decision will be taken after the interview.
